Brown Paper Bag Floor

After reading one of the posts on hometalk about how she did her paper bag floor, I knew this is what I wanted to do . I began to research all I could about doing this procedure .
Found out so many people have made brown paper bag floors all over the net.

I purchased the materials and began tearing up my carpet removing staples nails and tack board. I moved all the furniture myself being a bodybuilder and power lifter made it a little easier to do so!

I was only able to do 2 ft. a day sometimes a little more it took me approximately two months to complete. But so worth it!

Not wanting to use brown stain I did not want a dark, brown floor, I choose to use a stain called Cabernet. When mixed with white glue it became burgundy color .I poured white glue in a pan sprinkled in the stain and swirled it with a stiring stick for mixing paint. Then I laid the torn wrinkled up paper bag paper on top of it and letting it soak up the stain and blue crea then I laid the torn wrinkled up paper bag paper on top of it and letting it soak up the stain and glue. applied it to the floor and as you can see the results were a mottled burgundy marbled look that I wanted to achieve! I then added some bling!

I polyurethaned it one more time (8 times total) and lightly sprinkled sparkle dust. It's waterproof and shines and I think beautiful. All under $200 . My living room is approximately 16 x 25. What do you think? Would you try it? I'm so happy with it.
