Don't Miss This (What To Do With Left Over Candle Wax)!

Often after burning candles and often some of your favorite scents, there is leftovers that often get thrown away! Hmmmm! I decided to take the leftovers(picking out the ones that I do not mind mixing together.

With all the leftover wax in my home and a few candles bought at a holiday mark down sale,large pieces of wax candles that come cheep are better than buying blocks of wax!





After shopping my home and thrift store for pieces that would work well for my craft.





I am remaking left over candle wax into decorative and fun functional pieces,that can be used for all occasions!





This was a holiday candle marked down, the weight is 2 pounds of wax price $2.49! Great buy for 2 pounds.This chuck was cut down in many smaller pieces to make many different size and color candles.





For this project I used a stock pot and left over food cans.The cans are used as a double burner for the wax and can be reused for other candles.Crayon will be used to create color for your candles.Also if you want them scented you can use essential oils.(Food cans works just well as the candle pots you purchase,and they are recyclable!!!).





You do not need a lot of water for your pot Approx. 2 inches, low heat.You can fill cans 1/2 to 3/4 of wax.It melts fast! and if you want to help it along, you can use a pop stick or in my case a wooded skewer for stirring which I also used to hold the wick in place.While warming I choose to do color.A crayon was used for color,added to melting wax.





This one done with one yellow crayon and 1 1/2 cup of wax. The wicks were purchased with metal base.I choose the tall ones so they can be cut to fit.The skewer is used to cold wick in place until it sets.This one will become a dessert candle.( Fill as close to the top as possible, the wax will shrink during drying.





This one finished to look like a cup of coffee.





This made out of a small ball jar,that can used for every day or a special event.





Done with a coffee mug, this makes a great gift for your favorite teacher or neighbor/ new home purchase.





This is a finish parfait all done in wax.(The toppings were made in stages after each section were cooled.





Complete with coffee mug,wine glass,root beer float mug.This shows the many pieces that can be transformed into decorative functional pieces.

This can be done with seashells,cans,jars,bottles! The possibilities are endless!
