Lucky Horseshoes Decor (Real & Foam Board)

Bring some good luck into your home for the New Year, or any time, with these beautiful Luck Horseshoes. There's 6 different types total on my website link at the bottom. NOTE ON HANGING DIRECTION: Up or down? I did the research and it ends it there are strong opinions on hanging it BOTH ways and there is no overall rule. At least as far as the superstition goes. It varies from location and story. Most folks here seem to think open end up is best! I just hung mine the way they looked good. :-P

Lucky Horseshoe Supplies
A horseshoe OR foam board to make one
Pattern for foam board horseshoe (on my site link)
Craft knife (for foam board)
Hot glue gun
Brown craft string (or whatever you wish to wrap your foam horseshoe)
Paint
Other items to decorate your horseshoe with. Ribbon, buttons, wire, beads, artificial flowers, gems, paint, etc.





FOR THE FOAM BOARD HORSESHOE: Make a horseshoe shape from foam board or using the pattern on my site link. You can wrap it with different things but I find the twine looks the best.





Cover the ends with some cut pieces of twine hot glued on.





Start wrapping your twine. I only glued on the ends. Wrap snugly and tightly. The foam board will bend easily so be careful.











Once it's done you can glue on any decorations you like!





REGULAR HORSESHOES: If you have regular horseshoes they can also be decorated in a huge variety of ways!





Wire can be used to thread beads on.
