Looking for some interesting decor we decided we loved the trend of the white and gold faux taxidermy. The only problem is that when something is popular it is sometimes expensive, too! Not having a hundred + dollars to spend on such a thing we got away with only spending around $40 by going DIY!It turns out that not everybody is keen on a realistic type of looking fake deer head and so the price was right... cheap!
I went with this one because the horns come out so you can easily paint the head one color and the antlers another. We went with the popular white and gold look but we have been talking about maybe spraying the antlers teal for a different look. Luckily it's just a can of spray paint away so we can mix it up however we please!
This sucker is massive and fits in with our decor perfectly. Going DIY instead of buy saved us a good $60 and we have the perfect accent for our living room window. For more info, including a link to purchase the deer fellow I hope you'll visit my blog!
