My Table Centre - Cost Less Than $2!

I wanted to create lovely evergreen displays, but on a budget. The tiny garden of our new house didn't appear to offer much, but I was wrong. My one purchase was a block of oasis and one pink rose.

I used branches cut off the Christmas tree so it would sit better in the bucket as the main foliage, and leaves from everything still green in the garden, including ivy from the tumbled down shed!

I tried to avoid symmetry as I didn't know how far my finds would go, and I think it's more satisfying. As my colour scheme this year us safe green and pastel, the gone over flowers half faded to green and brown I found out the front, actually worked perfectly.

I was very pleased with my first floral effort, and even found three candles under the sink to finish it off. Behind are some of my tulle wreaths, and the frosted pink shaggy fun fur I've used to trim the mantle.

And here's my big mantle display, made in just the same way from garden trimmings! I want to do one for every season now!
