Antique Settee Left for Trash Gets Rescued

Isn't it great to have friends who know you're junkin' style and will find curbside treasures for you? I call it trashure, and this antique settee was left out for the trash with a broken arm and in a shabby state. With a little TLC, it has been given new life. Come see the transformation on the blog.

You wouldn't believe me if you could see this settee in the "after" and I told you I found it in the trash, right?

That's where this lovely piece was left along with some other goodies, my trashure. I was so excited when my friend spied it for me and I rushed over to see with my kids in tow (who also love a good hunt!)

While there I scored these other sweet finds, like Queen Anne legs, a footstool, bed posts, a surveyors tripod, and gorgeous mirrors! I hit the jackpot!

The arm of the settee was badly broken, but I was able to fix it with a little DIY know-how and made it stronger than new.
Now this antique piece has new life and is available in my shop. Head on over to the blog for all the details.
