This simple brown country cupboard was given a happy new look with some red paint, a few planks and some fresh hardware. Painted with Annie Sloan Emperor's Silk Chalk Paint- one of the prettiest reds I have seen. Finished with a coat of Varathane Matte Finish Polyurethane. A soft touch and a light sheen creates the perfect finish for any country piece.
The back walls of this piece were dark brown plywood veneers. Not very pretty (or all that sturdy!)

The completed project...once a sad, dark brown eyesore is now a happy, country red piece, ready for the holidays!
